Over a period of time extensive works have been carried out to replace intricate lead sheeting and install Welsh slates to mansards and asphalt coverings to the appropriate areas. The decoration of eight light wells required scaffolding towers to cover the 100' drops.

New mastic asphalt coverings were installed to the main roof. The ornate lead work on the dome was completely replaced to restore this magnificent building back to its former glory.
